چکیده

Asphaltenes are a group of exotic hydrocarbons found in bitumen and other forms heavy crude oil derivatives. These hydrocarbons, with elusive chemistry, give derivatives (CODs), such as bitumen, its characteristic properties. In they form stable aggregates by interacting molecules, called asphaltene aggregates. Attempts have been made to enhance nanoparticles, like graphene Such studies successful displaying the enhanceability but no directly focused on how structural stability present is affected incorporation nanoparticles. The phase pertinent question, which often ignored. this study, we investigate physical impact incorporating graphitic nanoparticles structure bitumen. For this, utilise oxide (GO). GO polyaromatic nanoparticle similar asphaltenes, that both molecular defects induced heteroatoms. We experimentally investigated using XPS, XRD SEM-EDX elucidate interaction between asphaltenes GO, implications for used e.g., surface layer roads. roads, exist structures, until has introduced. experimental results show introduction initiates destabilisation aggregates, discuss mechanism paper. Thereby, conclude counter intuitively, or negative thus hindering any functional enhancements bituminous

Cooee bitumen. II. Stability of linear asphaltene nanoaggregates.

Asphaltene and smaller aromatic molecules tend to form linear nanoaggregates in bitumen. Over the years bitumen undergoes chemical aging and during this process, the size of the nanoaggregate increases. This increase is associated with an increase in viscosity and brittleness of the bitumen, eventually leading to road deterioration. This paper focuses on understanding the mechanisms behind nano...

The Influence of Graphene Oxide on Mechanical Properties and Durability Increase of Concrete Pavement

Herein, the performance of graphene oxide (GO) in improving mechanical properties and subsequently reducing the permeability of cement composites used in concrete pavement, is studied. A polycarboxylate superplasticizer was used to improve the dispersion of GO flakes in the cement. The mechanical strength of graphene-cement nanocomposites containing 0.1–2 wt% GO and 0.5 wt% superplasticizer was...

The influence of Tyrozine on energetic property in Graphene Oxide: A DFT studies

Using the Computational methods, the interaction effect of Tyrosine Amino acid on Graphene wasinvestigated. For this purpose, the Density Functional Theory (DFT) in the ground state of 6-31Gwas used, and the interaction effects of Tyrosine on Graphene was investigated through attachmentto three different base positions. Different parameters such as energy levels, the amount ofChemical Shift in ...

Modeling and Scaling of the Viscosity of Suspensions of Asphaltene Nanoaggregates

The scaling and modeling of the viscosity of suspensions of asphaltene nanoaggregates is carried out successfully taking into consideration the solvation and clustering of nanoaggragates, and the jamming of the suspension at the glass transition volume fraction of asphaltene nanoaggregates. The nanoaggregates of asphaltenes are modeled as solvated disk-shaped “core–shell” particles taking into ...

Influence of graphene oxide on metal-insulator-semiconductor tunneling diodes

In recent years, graphene studies have increased rapidly. Graphene oxide, which is an intermediate product to form graphene, is insulating, and it should be thermally reduced to be electrically conductive. We herein describe an attempt to make use of the insulating properties of graphene oxide. The graphene oxide layers are deposited onto Si substrates, and a metal-insulator-semiconductor tunne...
